HAMSTERS REALLY DO USE A BATHROOM

Although funny to consider but hamsters do really have a spot for their natural needs. They clean for themselves and no matter how many in a colony, they do have a corner in the bin or a cage where they dislodge waste. Even for a busy breastfeeding hamster, you can notice them getting out from the litter, go to a far spot, and do their thing, then just go back to the litter right after.

Hamster bathrooms are not only intended for them to bathe with bathing sand, but one can actually place a hamster bathroom at the exact spot where these furry creatures place their waste and they will surely get to do that in the bathroom itself.

When you start to experiment with potty training your hamster, then you can start with a bathroom being used as a toilet for them. Again this hamster bathroom should be place in the exact spot they excrete wastes. Then you can go ahead and take another hamster bathroom for their bathing. This time, you can place this fixture anywhere in the cage but remember to place sandbath inside. They will surely sort out what that is for and will start taking showers.
