AVOID FEEDING YOUR HAMSTERS CITRUS FRUIT

Oh no no no. Citrus fruit are definitely a no-no to your pet hamster. Hamsters' tummies are so sensitive that this type of food might cause their death. Hamsters have a condition called “wet-tail” because their tails literally get wet when they are sick. This is due to diarrhea. And this condition is fatal. So placing two and two together, one can figure out that hamsters' tummies are highly sensitive. Oranges and other citrus fruit are acidic which can affect the sensitive tummy of your pet.

Always remember that hamsters naturally live in deserts and they feed on dry food and grains. They do not live on fresh vegetation in the wild.
